Friendship, self-respect, and love are hard to find for the slaves on a southern plantation. How will the arrival of an African drum maker, a proud man in need of redemption, bring changes to their lives and their freedom?

“Unbroken” is an original story revealing the personal lives of slaves, in a Broadway musical theatre style performance. Many of the play’s events are adapted from first hand accounts of slavery researched in The Slave Narratives.

Join us for the workshop presentation of a new musical, “Unbroken”, at the Davidson Fine Arts School, 615 12th Street, on Thursday September 25th, 3:45 pm and 7 pm. Admission is free, but donations for the DFA Theatre Improvement Fund are accepted at the door.
